BECCA LUNSTRUM
Becca Lunstrum is a currently in her first year of DMA studies at the University of
Kansas. She received her Master's in horn performance at KU and a Bachelor of Arts
degree in horn performance from the University of South Dakota. During her graduate
studies, she has served as principle horn of both the KU Wind Ensemble and KU
Symphony Orchestra in addition to performing in several graduate chamber ensembles
and serving as the assistant conductor of the KU Horn Ensemble. In 2016, Lunstrum
was named a national finalist in the MTNA Young Artist Brass Competition in San
Antonio, TX, and was also selected to participate in an international exchange program
with the Milan Conservatory in Italy where she played assistant horn on Stravinsky's Firebird.
Lunstrum has also performed with the Topeka Symphony and Kansas City Symphony. After completing her doctoral degree, Lunstrum hopes to
become a collegiate professor while maintaining her performance career.
