ALLISON LINT
Ohio native Allison Lint serves as adjunct faculty at Fort Hays State University and performs as concertmaster of the Hays Symphony Orchestra. In her past 12 years of full-time freelancing, she has appeared as a violinist, violist, and pianist in regional orchestras, live rock shows, and semi-professional theater productions. In 2016 she enjoyed a one-year appointment in the violin section of the Wichita Symphony Orchestra.

Allison is a 2009 graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Gregory Fulkerson and Peter Slowik and minored in Music History. After five years away from higher education, she then earned her Master of Music at the University of Akron through a rigorous Graduate Teaching Assistantship in Strings. Before completing her graduate degree, Allison won a position with the Akron Symphony Orchestra, where she performed regularly for three seasons.

Allison spends a large portion of her time working as founder of Violin for Vasculitis Inc, a nationally-recognized nonprofit initiative that has been featured on CNN’s “Human Factor.” Through V4V she is on a mission to travel to all 50 states to raise awareness and funding for vasculitis, an auto-immune disorder with which she was diagnosed as a teen. To this date, V4V has seen 36 events in 23 states, and Allison has been invited to speak at universities, churches, libraries, town halls, historic landmarks, and medical symposia across the nation. When not performing or traveling, she spends her time reading economics and history or outdoors exploring the beautiful, open-sky wilderness of her adoptive home state of Kansas.
